What is the meaning of “We do not need magic to change the world, we carry all the power we need inside ourselves already: we have the power to imagine better.

This proverb was given by the Harry Potter fame writer J.K Rowling in a speech at Harvard. It means that we, the people, have the power to change the world. Our imagination for the better world and our efforts of turning our imagination to reality is all we need to change the world, and not some magic.

The proverb says we can change the world, we have that power. But before anything we need to change ourselves, we must change in us what we don’t want to see in others. We must be the change that we want to see in the world. If we change how we think, we will change how we feel and take actions. The magic lies in us, in remaking ourselves that, in turn, will remake the world, changing it into better. If we imagine a peaceful world, we must learn to forgive and stay content in what we have. That’s the power we need to change the world and that power is within us. No magic can make the world a better place if we can’t make ourselves better humans.
